The full-package solution for energy data collection

The railpower box is an energy measurement system (EMS) for traction units that records active and reactive energy in terms of consumption and recuperation and combines this energy data with position data. The collected data is sent from the traction unit to the ground station (DCS) at regular intervals. The railpower box has been developed and approved in accordance with the latest international standards (TSI and EN50463).

The railpower box is already used by more than 40 railway undertakings in Europe: Currently in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Sweden and Switzerland.

The full-package solution for energy data collection

The collected energy data is assigned to the respective country based on the location data determined by the railpower box and transmitted to the infrastructure network operator via data exchange.
