Operational mobile radio

ÖBB's internal operational mobile radio is used for all types of applications that are not directly related to train journeys. These are in particular shunting radio and technical services. The operational radio technologies are currently being renewed and standardised with Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) in the 70 cm UIC frequency band (V operation).
