A new look
The new Micheldorf station can only be recognised by its station building. All other facilities have been completely renewed. A total of three new barrier-free platforms, modern information systems, a new forecourt and a passageway including a lift to the platform have given the station a completely new appearance and provide passengers with significantly more benefits and comfort for rail.
A safe and punctual railway also needs a modern track. That is why we have renewed the entire track system, including switches, overhead lines, etc.. And because safety has priority, a total of four railway crossings have been abandoned, thus eliminating danger areas between road and rail. Now, road traffic is able to cross the railway safely via a new passageway on Bader-Moser-Strasse. Cyclists and pedestrians can cross under the tracks via three newly constructed underpasses (Bahnhofstraße, Heiligenkreuzer Straße and Bader-Moser Straße).
