BET, BET, FLATTENED.

Tests of courage on railway facilities are not a trivial offence.

The railway is not a playground and certainly not the right place for tests of courage or selfies and photos for your social media channels. If you balance on the platform or sit on the edge of the platform, play on the tracks, climb onto a carriage, ride on trains or enter the tracks without authorisation because you think you have found the ultimate photo opportunity, then you are putting yourself and possibly others at risk. Also, don't let yourself be persuaded to take reckless, dangerous actions. Be a role model and smarter than others and follow our safety tips and warnings.

Our safety tips:

  • Don't do "tests of courage" or "tricks" on platforms and on bridges over railway tracks!
  • Never climb onto railway carriages. Even without touching the line, the current can jump over.
  • Never step on or cross railway tracks for selfies or photos! Trains cannot swerve and have a braking distance of several hundred to a thousand metres.
  • Selfies and photos on railway installations and trains are out of place. They can cost you your life!

Our safety campaign

ÖBB-Infrastruktur's safety campaign aims to show children and young people in particular that careless behaviour near trains and stations can be life-threatening.
