A New, Modern Look
Since the completion of the renovation work, the Telfs-Pfaffenhofen train station has taken on a bright, open, and inviting appearance. Three covered, wheelchair-accessible platforms with elevators and a modern pedestrian underpass ensure convenient access to all trains.
The architectural concept by studio 23 architektur features curved lines of exposed concrete, rounded glass walls, and a spacious, open design.
The underpass impresses with its bright design, natural stone flooring, and a unique view of the Hohe Munde through a large glass window. This architectural detail firmly anchors the station in its surroundings and makes it unmistakable.
With the photovoltaic system integrated into the platform roofs, the station makes an important contribution to reducing CO₂ emissions. The green roof also echoes the building’s rounded design language.
The newly designed station forecourt, featuring a bus terminal, 80 Bike & Ride parking spaces, and 295 parking spaces in the adjacent parking garage, offers excellent connections between all modes of transportation. The amenities are complemented by modern restroom facilities, an ATM, and a bakery inside the station building.

This enables more efficient operations, greater safety, and higher reliability—an important step toward digitized rail control.
