The Greenlight train positioning service leverages the railpower box, installed on traction units, to generate precise position data every second. TEPOS, ÖBB's proprietary GPS correction service, significantly enhances the accuracy of these positions, while an algorithm enables track-precise assignment within the ÖBB track network. Continuous monitoring and performance tracking further ensure consistently high data quality and availability, in spite of handling large data volumes. The result is stable and highly accurate real-time position data that powerfully supports the efficient, safe and innovative operation of modern railway processes.

Retrieval data
We provide two flexible retrieval variants optimized for different integration requirements, system landscapes, and usage scenarios.
- Live Data Service: Data is delivered via a standardized MQTT 5.0 interface in machine-readable JSON format (already available).
- Live Web Map: Data is visualized on a map through a web interface. Access is granted via web browser using a secure customer login (available from Q2).
