Real-time information in operations
During the journey, operational data is continuously exchanged, including train running information, forecasts like expected arrival times, delay causes, and service disruption details. This information allows for a clear and up-to-date view of train traffic.
Structured reporting along reporting points
The operational train journey is based on so-called reporting points – defined points in the network (e.g., stations, border points, junctions). Actual data is recorded and reported at these points. They form the basis for forecasts and control decisions. They allow continuous tracking of the train's route. This ensures complete transparency along the entire transport chain.
Coordination along the route
Standardized communication supports coordination between different infrastructure managers and transport undertakings – especially in international traffic. This ensures that
- everyone involved has the same level of information,
- transfers between networks go smoothly,
- quick reactions to deviations are possible.
Dynaymic adjustments in operations
The Telematics TSI makes it possible to respond flexibly to operational changes: adjusting routes (Path Modifications), dealing with disruptions and deviations as well as updating forecasts in real time. These dynamic processes are a key factor for the stability of the overall system.
Your benefits
