At the same time, the construction work is being closely co-ordinated with other measures along the Arlberg corridor. The aim is to minimise disruption to travellers and local residents through well-co-ordinated construction schedules.
Phased implementation
The new station is being built in several construction phases. The track layout, technical installations and buildings are being renewed step by step.
Key measures include:
- Construction of the new pedestrian underpass and lift facilities
- Construction of the island platform
- Modernisation of the tracks and technical infrastructure
- Redesign of the station surroundings
During planned line closures, works will be carried out in batches so that several tasks can be completed within the same closure periods.
