A new look
Micheldorf station will only be recognisable by its station building. All other facilities will be completely renewed. A total of three new barrier-free platforms, an S-Bahn stop, modern information systems, a new forecourt and a passageway including a lift to the platform will give the station a completely new appearance and will also bring significantly more benefits and comfort for rail passengers.
A safe and punctual railway also needs a modern track. That is why we are renewing the entire track system, including switches, overhead lines, etc., at the same time. And because safety has priority, a total of four railway crossings will be abandoned, thus eliminating danger areas between road and rail. In future, road traffic will be able to cross the railway safely via a new passageway on Bader-Moser-Strasse. Cyclists and pedestrians will also use the new passageway at the railway station.
