The number of passenger and freight trains is rising. The capacity needed for to cope with this is being created by the upgrade to four tracks between Linz and Wels. Four-track upgrade step-by-step

The Linz–Wels Upgrade is taking place in several phases: Linz Main Station west side, Linz–Marchtrenk and Marchtrenk–Wels. Some parts of the sections are being constructed in parallel to deliver the benefits of the new line to you as quickly as possible.
