Environmental and climate protection

The railway is one of the most environmentally-friendly means of transport. We, at ÖBB-Infrastruktur, form the backbone of sustainable mobility and logistics services on the railway. We are constantly expanding this position. If you travel by rail, you conserve resources, and contribute towards a future fit to live in for future generations.

ÖBB Rail Bees

The bees go buzzing ... Our next chapter in climate protection are the ÖBB Rail Bees. ÖBB is one of the largest climate protection companies in Austria. Not only the electricity for the railway network and the infrastructure facilities come from 100% renewable energy: we also create new habitats for animals.
